The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurrmanov looks to land a right hand but Jacobs moved out of range.

Jacobs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gurrmanov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jacobs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gurrmanov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gurrmanov stuffs the takedown attempt from Jacobs. Jacobs gets slowly back to his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jacobs has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Jacobs throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gurrmanov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jacobs is in Gurrmanov's guard.
