Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Repe Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden has chosen Pride as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Repe Sorsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorsa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sorsa misses with a body kick.
Durden uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sorsa has time to react.
Durden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sorsa misses with a hook. Durden ducked under it nicely.
Sorsa just misses with a punch to the body.

Durden closes the distance and clinches.
Sorsa lands with a right to the head.
Sorsa is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Durden is keeping busy.
Durden lands a shot to the body.
Sorsa has a couple of punches blocked by Durden.
Sorsa swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sorsa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Durden walks away with a smile on his face. Sorsa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sorsa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Durden looks for the body kick but Sorsa saw that one coming.
Sorsa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Durden avoids it really well and circles away.
Durden looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Sorsa.
Durden chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Durden lunges at Sorsa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sorsa's hand.
A good leg kick by Durden.
Sorsa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Durden sprawls well. Durden wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sorsa gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Repe Sorsa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durden throws a leg kick which misses Sorsa's front leg but catches the back leg as Sorsa tries to avoid it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sorsa checks a leg kick.
Sorsa closes the distance and clinches up with Durden, looking for a takedown. Sorsa pushes Durden against the cage but Durden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sorsa misses with a straight right.
Durden scoring well with a low kick there.
Durden throws a head kick but Sorsa moves out of range.
Durden with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sorsa to score with a decent uppercut.

Durden fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Durden scores with a jab to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sorsa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sorsa looks for the body kick but Durden saw that one coming.
Durden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sorsa misses the shot to the body.
Durden takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sorsa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sorsa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sorsa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Durden takes the fight into the clinch.

Durden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Durden works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Sorsa's corner calls for a 1-2. Sorsa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Durden misses with a leg kick

and Sorsa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Durden won't be happy with that.
Sorsa is looking to take a break and control but Durden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durden managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sorsa.
Durden regains half guard there - taking advantage of Sorsa's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Durden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sorsa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sorsa's back!

Sorsa turns into Durden and is now in his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sorsa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sorsa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sorsa stands up over Durden, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We've been hearing good reports from Sorsa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Sorsa postures up in Durden's guard and throws a big left but Durden blocks it.

A close round but Tyler Durden will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Durden drops his hands momentarily and Sorsa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sorsa throws a jab but it's blocked by Durden.
Durden takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Durden clinches with his opponent.
Durden misses with some punches.
Sorsa just leaning against Durden, taking a breather.

Sorsa has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Durden is trying to keep an underhook but Sorsa manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Sorsa is looking for a kimura but Durden is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sorsa to get the leverage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Durden is refusing to be controlled, as Sorsa sits in half guard.
Sorsa throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Durden to regain full guard.
Sorsa wants to control from the top but Durden keeps moving.
Sorsa advances position into side control!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sorsa tries to advance to mount but can't.
Durden on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Sorsa looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Durden is avoiding damage well.
Sorsa gets to mount! Durden was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Sorsa unloads with some shots from mount but Durden bucks and avoids them well.

Sorsa trying to control but Durden is having none of it.
Durden sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Sorsa wants to take a breather but Durden is having none of it.

Sorsa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Durden is just riding it out for now. Sorsa eventually gives up the hold.
Durden is not content to let Sorsa control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sorsa throwing shots but Durden is blocking nicely.

Sorsa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Durden knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sorsa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Repe Sorsa dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


A nice leg kick lands there from Durden.
Durden leaves Sorsa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Durden misses with a body kick.
Sorsa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sorsa misses with a looping right.
Sorsa throws a body punch but Durden moves out of range.
Durden looks to clinch

Durden sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Sorsa looks to land a strike but Durden avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Sorsa passes Durden's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Sorsa is looking to advance position but Durden won't allow it.
Sorsa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sorsa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Sorsa wants to free his trapped foot but Durden is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Durden feints and then cracks Sorsa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sorsa down.
Durden ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sorsa throws a leg kick but Durden moved away.
Durden takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tyler Durden seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sorsa works Durden's body with a nice hook.
Durden misses with a kick to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sorsa, as that shot connected.

Durden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sorsa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sorsa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Durden can do to turn this around?

Sorsa passes Durden's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sorsa trying to control from Durden's half guard. Durden has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
