Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirigaya Kazuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayabusa comes into the arena with Bombs Away by Bob blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kazuto takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hayabusa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kazuto was covering up waiting for the punch and Hayabusa finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hayabusa is looking to pass into half guard but Kazuto pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kazuto is in guard.

Kazuto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayabusa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Hayabusa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
