The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Casados to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Casados has gone for a leg lock! Thompson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Casados's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thompson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Casados manages to get himself to full guard.

Thompson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Casados.
Thompson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Thompson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Thompson feints and then cracks Casados's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Casados down.

Casados closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Casados misses with a takedown attempt - Thompson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Thompson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

A very excited looking Hunter Thompson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
