The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeLuise avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
DeLuise throws a series of strikes that have al Rashid backpedaling.
DeLuise misses with a low kick.
al Rashid changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

al Rashid looks to score with a jab to the body but DeLuise is just out of range.
al Rashid wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
DeLuise keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
DeLuise tried to score with a low kick but al Rashid checks it.
al Rashid fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but DeLuise is out of range.
A jab from DeLuise finds it's way through al Rashid's defenses.
al Rashid throws a low kick but it's checked well by DeLuise.
Kareem al Rashid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
al Rashid feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to DeLuise's calf.
al Rashid throws a head kick that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
DeLuise lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that al Rashid has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
DeLuise misses with a body kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from DeLuise! al Rashid is out on his feet! DeLuise rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - al Rashid is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! al Rashid is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A relieved looking Dom DeLuise thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
