Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Henley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jin Kim has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Henley!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henley thuds his right hand into Kim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice defenses there by Kim.
Kim moves away from the strike by Henley.
Henley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Henley swinging wildly here.
Kim chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Henley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Henley moves away.
Henley throws out a loose jab but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it.
Henley misses the jab.
Henley takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kim stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A telegraphed right hand from Kim misses the target.
Henley misses with an uppercut.
Henley avoids a kick to the body.
Kim wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kim throws a series of punches but Henley avoids them all with ease.
Henley connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Henley misses with a straight right.
No joy there for Kim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Henley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Henley misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Henley just content to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working.
Kim tries to buck Henley off but Henley is having none of it.
Kim parries the strikes from Henley easily there. Henley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kim to escape.

Henley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kim has escaped the position, nice work there.

Henley misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kim managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Henley.
The strikes coming from Henley are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henley lands an elbow.
Kim dodges the ground and pound from Henley.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kim, who protects the arm well.
Check out the look on Henley's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Henley trying to control the action but Kim is working from the bottom.
Henley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kim will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Henley scores with a couple of short elbows.
Henley throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kim dodges the ground and pound from Henley.
Henley throws a strike aimed at the side of Kim's head but Kim avoids it well.
Henley wants to control but Kim is keeping him busy.
Who's going to make the next move?

Henley is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kim's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kim regains half guard, as Henley was trying to land strikes.
Kim is staying active underneath Henley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Henley with the ground and pound but Kim uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Kim seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Henley stops Kim from standing up.
Henley trying to control but Kim is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Henley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Henley moves away.
Henley misses with a looping right.
Kim misses with a kick to the body.
Henley throws a jab when Kim was well out of range.
Henley on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A slow jab from Henley misses its intended target.
The fighters circling - Kim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Henley might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Henley cracks Kim with an open hand slap.


It looks like Jin Kim has been cut.
Henley misses with a straight right.
Henley slips a straight right by Kim.
Henley looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henley lands with an overhand left.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kim lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Henley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Henley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Henley ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A head kick misses from Kim.
Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kim takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Kim uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Henley.
Henley rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kim counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kim throws a front kick aimed at Henley's knee but Henley avoids it well.
Jin Kim is winning the standup battle so far.
Henley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kim takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Henley scores with a hook to the body. Kim takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kim misses with a double jab

and Henley counters with a single leg into guard. Kim didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Henley lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Henley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ben Henley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kim keeping moving, preventing Henley from controlling successfully.
Henley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Henley pushes down on Kim's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Henley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Henley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Henley is nestled in close to Kim, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kim tries to lock up and control but Henley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Oh Kim is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Henley cracks Kim with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Henley!
An out of breath Ben Henley thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
