Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hai Howru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saki Mapu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saki Mapu looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mapu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Howru counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mapu looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Howru counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Howru creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Howru is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mapu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Howru.

Mapu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Howru is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mapu defends it well.

Mapu gets tackled into the ropes by Howru. Howru maintains the clinch.
Howru is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
