Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Willy Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Tupper V (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Willy Manson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Willy Manson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper V throws a series of punches but Manson avoids them all with ease.
Tupper V looks to land a combination. Manson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Manson slips a jab and a cross from Tupper V.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Manson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Tupper V controlling the position well.
Manson is looking to stall here but Tupper V recovers full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manson wants to pass the guard but Tupper V is keeping the position.
Manson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Manson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tupper V as he jumps to the side.

Tupper V lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tupper V.

Manson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tupper V as he jumps to the side.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Manson.
Manson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tupper V sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Manson somewhat.

Manson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tupper V is looking to escape.

Tupper V is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
We've been hearing good reports from Manson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Tupper V wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Manson looking for the RNC.
Manson tries to get the hooks in deep but Tupper V pushed the leg off.

That's time! Manson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Manson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tupper V defends well and Manson ends up having to push Tupper V into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bobby Tupper V is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Manson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tupper V shoots in and gets a takedown into Manson's guard.

Manson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tupper V defends it easily.
Tupper V throws a big elbow that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Manson is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manson wants to control from the top but Tupper V keeps moving.

Tupper V wants to get back to his feet but Manson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tupper V controls Manson momentarily but Manson frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tupper V is staying active underneath Manson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Manson wants to pass to mount but Tupper V is defending the position.
Manson moves into full mount! Tupper V won't be happy about that!
Willy Manson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Manson prevents Tupper V from getting the reversal.

Manson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tupper V is on top in guard.
Tupper V wants to control from the top but Manson keeps moving.

Tupper V makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Tupper V tries to stand but Manson is controlling from the bottom.
Manson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Manson stands and throws Tupper V's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Manson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Manson with the ground and pound but Tupper V regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Manson is working for a kimura but Tupper V is defending it quite comfortably.

Manson is looking to stall here but Tupper V recovers full guard.
Tupper V wants to sweep here but Manson controlling him for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A close second round but Bobby Tupper V will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Manson darts in looking for a takedown but Tupper V gets double underhooks and turns Manson into the cage.

Tupper V with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Manson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tupper V doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tupper V manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tupper V tries to pass to full mount but Manson defends it.
Manson manages to get to full guard.
Tupper V wants to stand but Manson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tupper V has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tupper V scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Tupper V pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Manson back to the cage. Tupper V follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Manson is rocked!
Bobby Tupper V seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Manson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oh Manson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Manson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Tupper V circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Manson to the canvas! Manson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Tupper V keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
