Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Oketch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazushi Sakuraba is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba tries for a takedown but Oketch circles away easily

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oketch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sakuraba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sakuraba might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Oketch haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Oketch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakuraba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sakuraba decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Oketch is looking for a sweep. Sakuraba is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Oketch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sakuraba defends it well.

Sakuraba looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Oketch has picked Sakuraba up and slammed him! Sakuraba can't keep hold of the triangle and Oketch manages to pass to side control!

Sakuraba has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Oketch avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
