Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Razor Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Razor Speed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juan Teixeira!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed misses with the combination.

Speed moves into range and clinches up with Teixeira.
Teixeira tries to break free but Speed pushes him back against the cage.
Teixeira is trying to break the clinch but Speed is controlling him.

Speed gets control of Teixeira's arms and successfully pulls guard. Speed will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Speed thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Teixeira would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Speed is adopting a defensive guard.
Speed lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teixeira won't allow Speed to sweep him here.
Teixeira wants to stand but Speed is controlling his posture from full guard.

Speed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Teixeira postures up.
Speed throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Speed seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Speed shoots in and gets a takedown into Teixeira's guard.
Speed working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Teixeira's head.
Speed keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Teixeira's head.
Speed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Speed prevents Teixeira from getting back to his feet.
Speed is in close to Teixeira's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Teixeira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Speed controls the pace.
Speed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Teixeira is controlling Speed's posture.

Speed stays in close to Teixeira's body and controls the position.
Teixeira tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Teixeira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Speed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Teixeira is looking to stand up but Speed isn't so interested in that idea.
Speed controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Teixeira lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
We've been informed that Teixeira has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Teixeira connects with a crisp jab.

Speed shoots in and bounces Teixeira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Speed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Speed sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Speed lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Speed stops Teixeira from standing up.
Speed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Razor Speed dominated that round.

Teixeira scores with a decent looking hook.
Teixeira throws a leg kick but Speed sees it coming and moves out of range.
Speed tries to clinch there but Teixeira circles away.
Speed shoots in looking for a takedown. Teixeira tries to sprawl out of it but Speed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Teixeira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Razor Speed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Speed tries to clinch but Teixeira moves out of range.
Speed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Teixeira can do to turn this around?
Teixeira scores with a crisp jab that stopped Speed in his tracks.
Teixeira dips to his left and cracks Speed with an uppercut!
Teixeira connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Teixeira tries to sprawl but Speed drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Speed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Speed slows the pace down in half guard.
Speed frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Speed content just to control the position here.
Speed trying to control but Teixeira is having none of it.

It looks like Juan Teixeira has been cut.

Speed working for a submission but Teixeira is keeping him at bay.
Speed won't let Teixeira get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Speed lands a couple of good shots and Teixeira has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
I would not like to be Teixeira right now.
Speed scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Teixeira is looking for a way out.
Speed is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Teixeira up.
Speed has good solid back control here.
Teixeira wants to control his opponent's hands but Speed gets his hands free.

Speed seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teixeira for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Speed is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Teixeira won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Speed off his unconscious opponent!
