Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ping Lin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Ballantine!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballantine misses the shot to the body.
Ballantine loads up on a big right hand but Lin slips the punch.
We've been informed that Ballantine has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lin shoots in looking for a takedown but Ballantine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ballantine misses with a low kick as Lin jumps back.
Lin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ballantine takes a step back to recover.
Lin lands with an overhand left.
Ballantine misses with a combination
and Lin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ballantine misses with a few strikes there.
Lin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ballantine.
Ballantine lands a jab to the nose.
Lin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ballantine.
Lin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lin throws a sloppy head kick and Ballantine moves out of range easily.

Lin lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Ballantine sprawling to the canvas. Lin follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Ballantine hang on?


Ballantine is rocked!


It looks like Bill Ballantine has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ballantine is still in real trouble! Can Lin finish him?
Ballantine wants to get back to his feet.

Lin seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ballantine is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ping Lin opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
