Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Bilkington!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilkington shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parkes as he avoids it easily.
Parkes keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Bilkington lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Parkes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Parkes wants to break the clinch but can't.
Parkes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bilkington has him pressed against the cage.
Bilkington is trying to drag Parkes to the mat but Parkes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bilkington is trying to force a seperation but Parkes has the dominant position.

Bilkington wants to free his trapped foot but Parkes is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Parkes tries to roll over but Bilkington keeps him under control.

Parkes looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bilkington fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parkes sprawls well initially but Bilkington persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bilkington is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Parkes is just riding it out for now. Bilkington eventually gives up the hold.

Parkes is looking to control Bilkington's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Parkes avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Parkes wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bilkington is controlling the pace.
Bilkington is pressing down on Parkes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parkes is holding on for now.

Parkes tries to lock up and control but Bilkington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bilkington feints and as Parkes raises his hands in defense, Bilkington changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bilkington takes a little break here. Parkes wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Parkes takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bilkington stuffs the takedown attempt from Parkes. Parkes gets slowly back to his feet.
Parkes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bilkington tries to avoid it but Parkes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bilkington to the ground. Bilkington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kel Parkes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Parkes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parkes wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parkes enables Bilkington to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parkes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bilkington is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bilkington is pushing down on Parkes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Parkes is fighting to maintain full guard but Bilkington has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bilkington is taking a breather. Parkes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bilkington is trying for a kimura here. Parkes looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bilkington wins by kimura!

A relieved looking Bobby Bilkington thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
