The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tono has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Tono might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Udo has got the better of the exchanges.

Tono fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Udo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Udo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Udo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tono stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tono's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Udo thuds his right hand into Tono's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Udo sizes up Tono with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Udo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Takeshi Tono has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tono dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Udo. That did some damage!
