Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianni Chocochore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chocochore throws a head kick but Contreras moves out of range.
Chocochore keeps the fight on the outside.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chocochore pulls Contreras in close to his closed guard and prevents Contreras from doing any damage or advancing position.
Contreras could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chocochore utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chocochore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Contreras is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chocochore is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Chocochore clinches up against the cage.

Chocochore has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Contreras regains guard immediately.
Chocochore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Contreras swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chocochore shoots in and bounces Contreras off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chocochore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Contreras connects with a couple of short punches.
Chocochore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Contreras's guard.

Chocochore manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Chocochore has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Chocochore looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Contreras!

Chocochore tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chocochore has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chocochore is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Contreras knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Contreras seems a little lost for a moment, as Chocochore dominates the positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gianni Chocochore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Contreras gets caught flat footed, as Chocochore shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Chocochore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Contreras is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chocochore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Contreras moves in looking to clinch but Chocochore pushes him off.

Chocochore shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Contreras napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Contreras tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chocochore wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chocochore decides to take the fight back to the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Contreras enables Chocochore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Contreras manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Contreras is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kenneth Contreras has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gianni Chocochore is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Contreras has a closed guard, preventing Chocochore from standing up.

Well Chocochore has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
