The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart throws a body shot but no joy.

Hart shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hart showed some decent athleticism there.

Hart is trying to work for a kimura but Sauvageau is defending well.
Hart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sauvageau keeps working.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sauvageau is defending against the submission attempts here by Hart.

Hart wants to pass to mount but Sauvageau is defending the position.
Sauvageau is refusing to be controlled, as Hart sits in half guard.
Hart is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sauvageau is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sauvageau can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hart perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hart wants to control but Sauvageau is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hart is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sauvageau is just riding it out for now. Hart eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hart maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sauvageau could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hart has cracked it and Sauvageau is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hart!
