Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Riley Jacob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam McQuaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Riley Jacob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam McQuaid!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQuaid lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McQuaid misses with a hook.
McQuaid connects with a jab.
A swing and a miss from McQuaid.
McQuaid lands a two punch combo.
McQuaid tries to clinch up but Jacob circles away and keeps his distance.
A punch combination from McQuaid misses.
McQuaid missing with a left hand there. Jacob was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McQuaid throws a nice looking combination but Jacob bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice uppercut there from McQuaid.
Jacob takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McQuaid looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A solid leg kick lands there for McQuaid.
McQuaid lands a jab-cross combination.

McQuaid lands with a hook. Jacob tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jacob ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McQuaid fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jacob on the side of the head.

Jacob shoots in and gets a takedown into McQuaid's guard.
Jacob advances position into side control!

Jacob tries for a kimura but McQuaid is defending well.
The referee asks Jacob politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jacob prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jacob tries to score with some ground and pound. McQuaid controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jacob sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McQuaid is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Jacob working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
McQuaid prevents Jacob from moving into mount.
Jacob fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jacob looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Jacob is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McQuaid knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jacob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McQuaid prevents Jacob from moving into mount.
Jacob cracks McQuaid with a big right hand but McQuaid just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jacob tries to score with some ground and pound. McQuaid controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jacob in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Jacob throws a strike aimed at the side of McQuaid's head but McQuaid avoids it well.

Jacob is trying to get an arm triangle but McQuaid is defending well.

Jacob tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jacob has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Adam McQuaid will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McQuaid lands a glancing blow to the side of Jacob's head.
Adam McQuaid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McQuaid's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jacob under the eye.
Jacob moves out of range of the strikes.
McQuaid is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
McQuaid fails to land with a series of punches.
McQuaid lands an overhand right.
Jacob is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McQuaid misses with a looping right.
McQuaid has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jacob's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McQuaid connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jacob scrambles back to his feet.
McQuaid jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McQuaid lands with a nice combination. Jacob backs away looking to recover.

McQuaid looks to land a right hand but Jacob moved out of range.
McQuaid connects with a crisp jab.
McQuaid cracks Jacob with a good jab.
McQuaid throws a jab when Jacob was well out of range.
McQuaid tries to clinch up.
McQuaid throws a right hand that Jacob ducks under and follows up with a left that Jacob also avoids with ease.
McQuaid bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jacob's head backwards.
McQuaid has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jacob on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Jacob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jacob advances nicely into full mount.
Jacob working the ground and pound effectively.
Jacob thowing shots but they're missing.

Jacob controlling the position easily from mount.
Jacob looking to control but McQuaid is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jacob is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McQuaid to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McQuaid shrugs it off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacob wants to control the pace but McQuaid is squirming around nicely.
Jacob takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McQuaid tries to hold on but Jacob postures up.

Jacob goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McQuaid is on top in guard.

McQuaid preventing the sweep.
Jacob wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
McQuaid stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacob swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McQuaid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McQuaid trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Adam McQuaid showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


McQuaid will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McQuaid tries to bum rush Jacob with a series of wild strikes but Jacob uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McQuaid lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jacob has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jacob and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McQuaid looks to land a combination but Jacob avoids it well.
McQuaid is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jacob.
A big right from McQuaid misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McQuaid misses with a body shot.
McQuaid throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jacob drops his hands momentarily and McQuaid takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jacob goes for a double leg but McQuaid avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McQuaid continues to drive forward.

McQuaid breaks the clinch.
McQuaid lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McQuaid.
Jacob shoots in but McQuaid avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McQuaid lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jacob circles away quickly and effectively.
McQuaid misses with an uppercut. Jacob saw that one coming.
A chopping leg kick lands by McQuaid.
McQuaid connects with a crisp jab.
Jacob takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McQuaid cracks Jacob with a good jab.

McQuaid scores with a decent looking hook.
McQuaid lands with a straight right. Jacob didn't see that one coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Jacob counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for McQuaid!
Jacob in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jacob is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McQuaid will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Jacob has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McQuaid avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jacob.

Jacob tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Jacob is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down McQuaid's shoulder. That is not cool.

A lull in the action here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Riley Jacob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Adam McQuaid is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jacob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McQuaid cracks Jacob with a good jab.
McQuaid paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jacob has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McQuaid swinging wildly here.

McQuaid gets caught flat footed, as Jacob shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McQuaid avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Adam McQuaid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got McQuaid winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
