Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Behnder Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Behnder Jr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Behnder Jr avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Behnder Jr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Abdullah's head.
Abdullah fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Abdullah tries to clinch up.
Abdullah wants to clinch.
Behnder Jr scores with a head kick.
Abdullah throws a lazy right hand but Behnder Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Abdullah loads up on a big right hand but Behnder Jr slips the punch.
Behnder Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Abdullah is just out of range.
Abdullah misses with a looping right.
Behnder Jr with the counter takedown but Abdullah avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abdullah blocks a head kick by Behnder Jr.
Behnder Jr bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Behnder Jr has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Abdullah moves in looking to clinch but Behnder Jr pushes him off.
Behnder Jr follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Abdullah stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Behnder Jr.
Behnder Jr keeps the fight on the outside.
Behnder Jr was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Behnder Jr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A nice leg kick lands there from Behnder Jr.
A slow jab from Abdullah misses its intended target.
Abdullah misses with a hook.
Good leg kick by Behnder Jr there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Abdullah clinches up with Behnder Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
Behnder Jr is trying to break the clinch but Abdullah has him pressed against the cage.
Abdullah looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Abdullah is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Behnder Jr's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Abdullah pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Abdullah misses with a punch to the body.
Abdullah looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Abdullah just misses with a elbow thrown towards Behnder Jr's brow.
Behnder Jr misses with a punch on the inside.
Behnder Jr avoids a wild elbow strike from Abdullah.
Abdullah throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Behnder Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Abdullah tries to close the distance and clinch but Behnder Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Abdul Abdullah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abdullah misses with an uppercut. Behnder Jr saw that one coming.
Abdullah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Behnder Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Behnder Jr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And Behnder Jr tries to counter it with a takedown but Abdullah pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Behnder Jr feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Abdullah's calf.
Abdullah thows a left - swing and a miss!
Behnder Jr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A punch lands to the side of Abdullah 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Abdullah throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Behnder Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Abdullah throws a right hand that Behnder Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Behnder Jr also avoids with ease.
Behnder Jr connects with a single shot there.

Abdullah is rocked!

Behnder Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Abdullah on his heels. He'll look to pass Abdullah's guard now, I'm sure.
Oh Abdullah is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Behnder Jr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Behnder Jr stands and throws Abdullah's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Behnder Jr has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Abdullah is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Behnder Jr yanks on the arm and Abdullah is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Behnder Jr.
