Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Lescano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raul Lescano has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Paul Bright's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Lescano!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lescano throws a lazy head kick
and Bright counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Bright gets tackled into the cage by Lescano. Lescano maintains the clinch.
Lescano blocks a body shot from Bright.

Bright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lescano throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bright tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lescano is in Bright's guard.

Lescano has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bright is proving hard to escape from.
Bright trying to keep a closed guard but Lescano is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bright keeping moving, preventing Lescano from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lescano wants to stand but Bright has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Lescano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bright swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bright doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lescano throws a right hand that misses

and Bright counters by moving into the clinch.

Bright breaks the clinch.
Paul Bright is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lescano throws a head kick that misses.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lescano throws out a loose jab but Bright uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bright gets caught napping as Lescano dives in and scores a takedown. Bright manages to retain guard.
Lescano cracks Bright with a solid left hand.
Lescano trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bright's guard.
Lescano preventing the sweep.
Lescano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bright working a defensive guard here.
Lescano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lescano postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A head kick by Lescano misses
and Bright counters with a thumping low kick.
Lescano connects with a body shot.

Lescano takes the fight into the clinch.

Bright pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lescano pushes Bright up against the cage in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lescano is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Bright breaks the clinch.
Raul Lescano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lescano misses with a double jab

and Bright counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bright.

Bright breaks the clinch.

Lescano darts in and clinches Bright up against the cage.
Bright goes for a takedown attempt but Lescano pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lescano lands a lovely overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raul Lescano dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bright avoids the head kick by Lescano.


It looks like Paul Bright has been cut.
Bright takes one on the button.


Bright is rocked!
Lescano looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Lescano backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Bright's temple! It sends Bright violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Lescano celebrates and the doctors try to help Bright!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Raul Lescano!
