The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster fails with the takedown.
Foster tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bilkington is able to avoid easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bilkington or perhaps it was just good defense by Foster, which made it look bad.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt - Bilkington sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Foster dives in for a single leg takedown but Bilkington sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bilkington got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bilkington has managed to get both his arms back between Foster's legs - danger averted.

Foster has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bilkington doesn't defend quickly enough and Foster has managed to lock this one up! Can Bilkington escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Foster on a fantastic submission victory.
