Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Clawnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Its Ono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clawnes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My name is MUD. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ono keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Clawnes.
Ono looks to land a right hand but Clawnes moved out of range.
Clawnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ono.
Ono ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ono throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ono misses with a low kick.
Clawnes defending well as Ono loads up on a big left hand.
Ono throws a low kick but Clawnes moves out of range easily.
Ono scores with a jab to the body.
Ono dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ono moves out of range as Clawnes strikes.
Ono fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Clawnes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

We've been informed that Ono has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ono dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Clawnes. That did some damage!

Clawnes clobbers Ono with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Clawnes dips to his left and cracks Ono with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clawnes wants to clinch.
Clawnes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ono is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Clawnes rather than just go for the knockout.

Ono has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Clawnes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Clawnes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Clawnes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ono manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Clawnes thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ono if he has to take too many more of those.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Clawnes will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ono has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Clawnes regains guard immediately.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Ono swings for the body but Clawnes moves out of range.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Clawnes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ono connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Clawnes scrambles back to his feet.
Ono motions for Clawnes to come forward. Ono throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ono.

Its Ono comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ono has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
