Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yogi Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maynard clinches.

Maynard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maynard manages to end up in side control.
Miyamoto tries to buck Maynard off but Maynard is having none of it.
The ground and pound from Maynard seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Miyamoto parries the strikes from Maynard easily there. Maynard is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Miyamoto to escape.
Miyamoto regains half guard, as Maynard was trying to land strikes.
Miyamoto is doing well to control the position and prevent Maynard from advancing to side control.

Miyamoto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maynard pulls his head out easily.

Maynard throws an elbow that misses. Miyamoto uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Maynard's guard. Nice move by Miyamoto!

Miyamoto decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Miyamoto clinches up with Maynard and pushes him back against the cage.
Maynard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyamoto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maynard manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

A jab lands there for Maynard.

Maynard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miyamoto's guard.
Maynard is fighting to break Miyamoto's control of his arms but Miyamoto is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Miyamoto is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Maynard still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Maynard has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
