The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tjefski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jabneel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tjefski sprawls well initially but Jabneel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sloppo Tjefski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jabneel works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Jabneel throws a strike but Tjefski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tjefski is fighting to break Jabneel's control of his arms but Jabneel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jabneel is working Tjefski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sloppo Tjefski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sloppo Tjefski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
