The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Almeida darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Niga has eaten all the pies!
Niga is trying to get back to full guard.
Almeida tries to pass the half guard into mount. Niga knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Almeida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Niga on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Almeida seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Niga for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Almeida has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Niga is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Almeida in particular looking to stall.

Almeida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Niga doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Almeida.
Niga has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Almeida is working away from the top position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Almeida is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Niga hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
