The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a combination that misses

and Lester counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bob is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lester is controlling him.
Lester trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lester stays in close to Bob's body and controls the position.

Lester dives in and grabs Bob's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bob pushes down on Lester's head and hops out.

Bob is trying to break the clinch but Lester has him pressed against the cage.

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bob fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lester avoids it really well and circles away.
Bob avoids the head kick by Lester.
Bob blocks a head kick by Lester.
Bob misses with a two punch combination.

Lester ducks under a wild hook from Bob.

Bob rushes Lester and presses him up against the cage.

Lester breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bob has closed the distance and engaged Lester in a clinch.

Lester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close round but I would say that Joan Lester will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lester gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lester has picked Bob up - he's going for a ride! Lester dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bob looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lester stands up and beckons Bob to join him on the feet.
Lester leaves Bob with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lester really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bob drives through and clinches with Lester against the cage.
Lester is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bob gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Lester has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bob uses from the top position.
Lester can't keep his opponent in guard - Bob advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
