Hempsall comes to the cage accompanied by Everyday-Shy FX & T Power. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hempsall tries to keep at a distance but Victorious has taken the fight into the clinch.

Victorious wants the takedown. Hempsall is fighting it off but Victorious persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hempsall's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Victorious looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hempsall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Victorious looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hempsall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Victorious pulls his head out easily.
Hempsall is trying to stand up here but Victorious is controlling him well.

No joy there for Hempsall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Victorious throws a series of punches but Hempsall moves out of range.
Jake Hempsall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Victorious throws a nice looking combination but Hempsall bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hempsall paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Victorious uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hempsall.

Hempsall lands with a cross.
Hempsall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hempsall scores with the left hand. Victorious knows he should have avoided that one.

Hempsall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Victorious has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hempsall uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Victorious shoots for a takedown but Hempsall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nice uppercut lands for Hempsall. That snapped Victorious 's head back.

Hempsall is looking for a triangle but Victorious pushes his legs off easily.
Hempsall controls Victorious momentarily but Victorious frees himself.

Victorious closes the distance and clinches up with Hempsall, looking for a takedown. Victorious pushes Hempsall against the cage but Hempsall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Victorious stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hempsall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
