Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rez Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Manel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez comes to the cage accompanied by Can We Still Be Friends. Manel has chosen A Portuguesa as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manel staying out of range there.
Manel fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cortez to the ground. Manel is now in Cortez's guard.
Manel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cortez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Manel connects with a couple of short punches.
Manel content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Cortez wants to hit a switch here but Manel passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cortez there!
Cortez is in a horrible position here. Manel smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Manel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manel cracks Cortez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cortez is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Manel! Cortez is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Toni Manel!
