Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between The Sigit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Helix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, The Sigit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brett Helix!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sigit takes one on the button.
Sigit blocks a jab.

Sigit fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Helix, pushing him back against the cage.
Helix tries to break the clinch but Sigit is controlling the position.
Helix is pressed up against the cage. Sigit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Helix down to the mat. Helix avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sigit dives in and grabs Helix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Helix pushes down on Sigit's head and hops out.
Helix walks into a jab.

It looks like Brett Helix has been cut.
Helix connects with a right hand. Sigit shakes it off.
Helix swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Helix gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Helix controlling the action here for a moment.
Helix throws a punch but it's blocked by Sigit.
We've been hearing reports that Sigit has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Sigit goes for a takedown in the clinch but Helix prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Sigit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Helix lands a right hand.
Sigit is trying to drag Helix to the mat but Helix just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Helix pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Sigit.
Helix keeps the fight on the outside.
Helix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sigit.
A solid leg kick lands there for Helix.

Helix throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Sigit stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Helix follows into mount!

Sigit is rocked!

It looks like The Sigit has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Helix working for a submission but Sigit is keeping him at bay.
Oh Sigit is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sigit slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sigit seems to have got his legs back now.

Sigit actively working from the bottom here.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Sigit is looking for a sweep. Helix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Helix is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sigit sees it coming and defends easily.

Helix is working for a kimura but Sigit is defending it quite comfortably.
Sigit is pressing down on Helix's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Helix postures up.
Sigit working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Helix.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sigit looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Helix postures up in Sigit's guard and throws a big left but Sigit blocks it.
Helix lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sigit lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Helix working for a triangle but Sigit defends it easily.

Sigit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sigit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Helix looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Helix looking for subs off his back but Sigit has passed one foot through into half guard.

Sigit is looking for a kimura here.
Helix gets back to full guard.

Helix has his foot on Sigit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sigit works his way back into a safe position though.

Helix has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sigit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sigit stands and throws Helix's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Helix regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brett Helix dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Sigit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sigit swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sigit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Helix counters with an inside leg kick.
Sigit tries to move into range but Helix moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A head kick misses from Sigit.
Sigit shoots for a takedown but Helix saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

so Sigit counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Helix has his foot on Sigit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sigit works his way back into a safe position though.

Sigit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sigit has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Helix to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sigit is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Helix pulls down on the head and he's put Sigit to sleep! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Brett Helix thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
