Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruud Van Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neji Hyuga!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Van Hall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Van Hall sizes up Hyuga with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Van Hall throws a lazy right hand but Hyuga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Van Hall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Van Hall throws a nice looking combination but Hyuga bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Van Hall misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Hall scores with a hook.
A telegraphed right hand from Van Hall misses the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Van Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Van Hall lands a nice shot to the body.
Hyuga looks winded!
Van Hall swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Van Hall.
A slow jab from Van Hall misses its intended target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Van Hall misses with a wild body shot.
A big right from Van Hall misses.
Van Hall throws a looping overhand right but Hyuga ducks down to avoid it.
Van Hall closes the distance and catches Hyuga with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Hyuga is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Hyuga is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Hyuga is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Van Hall takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ruud Van Hall!
During a confident post fight interview, Ruud Van Hall thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
