Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anthony Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Pettis shows good takedown defense.
Smith tries for a takedown but Pettis circles away easily
and Pettis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pettis takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
A combination from Pettis does no damage.
Smith dives in and grabs Pettis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pettis pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.

Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pettis pinned against the cage. Pettis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Pettis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Smith goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pettis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Smith's guard! Nice work there by Pettis!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeff Smith.
