The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgel uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Francisco Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vargas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jurgel to score with a decent uppercut.
Vargas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jurgel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jurgel.
Vargas stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Jurgel throws up his legs and catches Vargas in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Vargas tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Jurgel! That came out of nowhere!
