Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Barreda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanly Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barreda comes to the cage accompanied by Planet Caravan. Williams has chosen Kenny Loggins - I'm free as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into Barreda's guard.
Barreda trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.
Barreda lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Barreda gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jesus Barreda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams slips a jab from Barreda.
The fighters circling - Barreda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barreda ducks right into an uppercut from Williams .
Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Williams throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barreda.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Williams misses with a lunging right hand
and Barreda counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Horrible takedown attempt by Barreda or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams , which made it look bad.
Williams feints the counter takedown.
Barreda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
Williams is looking for the big counter here.
Barreda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Williams feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barreda's calf.
No joy there for Williams , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Barreda on his heels. He'll look to pass Barreda's guard now, I'm sure.

Williams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Williams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Barreda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Barreda jumps into side control!
Barreda is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Williams 's shoulder. That is not cool.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barreda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Barreda takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barreda is looking to reverse the position.
Barreda is pushing Williams 's head away, looking to escape. Williams manages to hold on to the position though.

Stanly Williams dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barreda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd cheers as Barreda lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.
Williams darts in looking for a takedown but Barreda gets double underhooks and turns Williams into the cage.
Barreda moves out of range of the strikes.
No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt.
Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barreda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.
Barreda is looking to counter punch.
Jesus Barreda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanly Williams .
Barreda throws a looping overhand right but Williams ducks down to avoid it.
Williams doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Barreda shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Barreda throws a hook but Williams blocks it.

Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
