Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Am (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bismarck De Jager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Jager has chosen My Kreet as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Am throws a body punch but De Jager moves out of range.
Am misses with a jab to the body
and De Jager counters with a left to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Am has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
De Jager jabs Am right on the nose. Am blinks but takes it well.
De Jager connects with a good right hand that stumbles Am. Am circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Am tries to clinch up but De Jager circles away and keeps his distance.
Am takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
De Jager misses with a hook. Am ducked under it nicely.

Am is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Am swings wildly with an uppercut but De Jager uses good head movement to avoid it.

De Jager breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
De Jager avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

De Jager shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Am throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Am ducks down and throws a hook to the body but De Jager moves away.

and Am takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Am is looking to wear down De Jager with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
De Jager lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Am takes one to the chin there.

Am fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with De Jager, pushing him back against the cage.
Am blocking some punches.
De Jager on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Am softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Am prevents De Jager from breaking the clinch.
Am goes for a takedown attempt but De Jager pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Am misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from De Jager.
De Jager is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Am.

It looks like Sam Am has been cut.
De Jager lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Am goes down and covers up as De Jager starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
