Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roy Bradley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, David Haggstrom!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Bradley with that takedown attempt.
Haggstrom tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bradley tries for a takedown but Haggstrom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Bradley's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Roy Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bradley shoots for a takedown but Haggstrom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Haggstrom shoots for a double leg takedown but Bradley sprawls well. He's pushed Haggstrom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bradley is looking for a sweep. Haggstrom is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Haggstrom might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bradley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bradley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haggstrom's waist but Haggstrom gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bradley off to one side.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bradley in particular looking to stall.

Bradley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bradley uses his free foot to push down on Haggstrom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Haggstrom.

Bradley dives in and grabs Haggstrom's left leg, looking for a takedown. Haggstrom pushes down on Bradley's head and hops out.

Haggstrom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Haggstrom escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bradley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Bradley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Haggstrom sprawls well. Haggstrom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bradley gets slowly back to his feet.

Haggstrom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Haggstrom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bradley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Haggstrom has managed to get both his arms back between Bradley's legs - danger averted.

David Haggstrom comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Haggstrom has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
