The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza shoots in but no luck this time.
The Legend Zatoichi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza wants to clinch up but Zatoichi keeps it at a distance.
Souza gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Zatoichi misses with a left hand
and Souza counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Zatoichi misses with a right hand
and Souza counters with a left to the body.
Zatoichi circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Zatoichi to counter with a crisp jab.
Zatoichi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zatoichi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Souza.
Zatoichi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Souza backwards.
Zatoichi misses with a body punch.
Zatoichi digs a right hand into Souza's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Souza's gas tank.
Zatoichi scores with a shoulder strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zatoichi has Souza pushed against the cage.

Souza is trying to push Zatoichi away but Zatoichi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Souza seems to have got his legs back now.
Zatoichi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Souza manages to avoid it.
Zatoichi throws a jab when Souza was well out of range.
Zatoichi takes the fight into the clinch.
Zatoichi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Souza or not.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zatoichi lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Souza to his knees! Zatoichi keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

After winning the bout, The Legend Zatoichi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
