Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gordon there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gordon misses with a takedown
and Hicks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hicks connects with a looping right hand.

Hicks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gordon has momentary wrist control but Hicks slips an elbow through the middle.
Hicks lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hicks works over Gordon with some ground and pound from guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hicks stands up over Gordon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gordon has momentary wrist control but Hicks slips an elbow through the middle.
Gordon seems to have got his legs back now.
Hicks connects with a couple of short punches.
Gordon has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Hicks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hicks's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hicks postures up and lands a big shot to Gordon's brow.
Gordon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gordon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hicks controls the pace.
Hicks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gordon's head.
Gordon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gordon wants to sweep but no luck.

Hicks passes Gordon's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Hicks seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gordon tries to roll over but Hicks keeps him under control.
Hicks lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Hicks seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gordon is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
