Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maverick has taken the fight to the clinch.
White goes for a takedown in the clinch but Maverick prevents it.
Maverick stalling.

Maverick is looking to control White's arms but White gets an underhook and turns him. Now Maverick has his back to the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
White is taking a breather. Maverick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

White shoots in looking for a takedown. Maverick tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maverick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Maverick tries to hold on but White pushes him away.
White cracks Maverick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Maverick is looking to improve his position but White isn't that keen on the idea.
White fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
White looking to control but Maverick is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

White lands a couple of good shots and Maverick has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Tom Maverick has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
White biding his time, looking for the opening.
White seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

White lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Maverick covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
