Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hans Gruber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jackson's coach down at Pitbull MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jackson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Jackson is looking to chop away at Gruber's legs.

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Gruber in a clinch.
Jackson tries a body shot but Gruber blocks it.
Gruber is trying to push Jackson away but Jackson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Jackson misses with the combination.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Gruber moves away and avoids it.
Gruber lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackson at a distance.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jackson looks to throw the jab but Gruber is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jackson.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gruber.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gruber has Jackson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jackson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jackson is trying to maintain a safe position but Gruber gets an underhook and turns Jackson into the cage.
Jackson with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Gruber has been working on his balance at Abobomination Training $700 13 LEGIT elite coaches, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Jackson.
Gruber has Jackson pressed against the cage, preventing Jackson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jackson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Jackson lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Gruber has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gruber pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Gruber dives into Jackson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jackson keeping full guard, as Gruber tries to pass.
Jackson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jackson wants to stand up but Gruber is controlling him.
Gruber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Gruber from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gruber postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.
Gruber throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gruber's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Gruber is retaining full guard.
Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Gruber has wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Gruber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gruber checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jackson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gruber counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gruber keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Jackson dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gruber cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson misses with a right hand
and as Jackson loses concentration momentarily, Gruber counters with a picture perfect head kick! Jackson goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hans Gruber!
Hans Gruber seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
