Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jock Fletcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fletcher is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

James closes the distance and clinches up with Fletcher, looking for a takedown. James pushes Fletcher against the cage but Fletcher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A close round but Jesse James will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



James shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fletcher is trying to defend but James finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
James is looking to take a break and control but Fletcher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fletcher is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
James has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fletcher closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away.

Fletcher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

James is not content to let Fletcher control the position.
James is being controlled here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
James throws a couple of elbows from the bottom.

Jesse James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Fletcher has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Fletcher throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. James tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fletcher is in James's guard.
James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fletcher manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fletcher is on top in guard.

Fletcher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Fletcher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down James for as long as he can get away with.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fletcher looks for a takedown but James sprawls well.

Fletcher looks up at the clock and then as James takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fletcher smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

James is looking to regain half guard here but Fletcher keeps moving and retains side control.
Jock Fletcher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jesse James is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
James tries to control but Fletcher manages to take his back.

I think James has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
