Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Listerine Care!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Care tries to sprawl but Hunt drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Care is trying to stand up here but Hunt is controlling him well.

Care kicks Hunt off and gets back to his feet.
Care looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Care punishes Hunt's body with a nice straight punch.
Care will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Care should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hunt misses with a few strikes there.
Care scores with a jab.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Care has eaten all the pies!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Care works Hunt's body with a nice hook.

Hunt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hunt trying to control the action but Care is working from the bottom.

Care explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

A left and a right from Care both land. Nice combination.

Care shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hunt eats them both and turns towards Care to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hunt stuffs the takedown attempt from Care. Care gets slowly back to his feet.
Keith Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Listerine Care.
Hunt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hunt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Care connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hunt scrambles back to his feet.
Hunt throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Hunt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Care is trying to defend but Hunt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Care has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hunt is on him like a limpet, forcing Care back against the cage.
Hunt effectively controlling the action here.
Care fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hunt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Care has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hunt is on him like a limpet, forcing Care back against the cage.

Care has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Care wants a takedown.
Care looks winded!

Hunt drags the fight down to the ground.
Care wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
Care is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Care passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Care controlling the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hunt is trying to control Care's posture but Care avoids it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hunt slaps away a takedown attempt from Care, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Listerine Care seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Care kicks Hunt off and gets back to his feet.
Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Care swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunt stuffs the takedown attempt from Care. Care gets slowly back to his feet.

Care looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Care has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hunt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Care feints a jab promting Hunt to slip. Care then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hunt slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hunt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt trying to pass the guard but Care defending well.
Care is trying to stand back up but Hunt is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Care throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease.
Hunt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Care.
Care is breathing heavily.

Care gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hunt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hunt wants to stand but Care has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunt stops Care from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Hunt dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Hunt. No joy for Care on that attempt.

Hunt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Care looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Care is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hunt is controlling him well.
Care is not content to let Hunt control the position.

Hunt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Care knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hunt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Care sneaks out the side door and pushes Hunt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Hunt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Care.

Care gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Care wants to stand but Hunt is controlling the position.

Hunt stands and throws Care's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Care is pushing Hunt's head away, looking to escape. Hunt manages to hold on to the position though.
Care regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hunt's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Care is trying to stand up here but Hunt is controlling him well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Care fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunt manages to avoid it.
Hunt misses with a kick to the body.

Hunt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Care is trying to get back to his feet.
Care prevents Hunt from improving position.
Care pushes Hunt away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hunt gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hunt trying to control the action but Care is working from the bottom.

Care sneaks out the side door and pushes Hunt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Care shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunt pinned against the cage. Hunt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Keith Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Listerine Care.
Care takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hunt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hunt lands in his opponent's guard.
Hunt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunt won't allow Care to get back to his feet.
