Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Albert Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Conger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Albert Hoffman !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Conger!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman misses with a takedown attempt - Conger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Conger.
Conger looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Conger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Conger stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoffman . Hoffman gets slowly back to his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Hoffman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
No luck for Hoffman with that takedown attempt.

Conger takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Hoffman is looking for a triangle but Conger pushes his legs off easily.

Hoffman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Conger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Conger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Conger trying to mount his opponent but Hoffman defends it.
Hoffman throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Conger manages to pass to side control.
Conger cracks Hoffman with a big right hand but Hoffman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoffman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Conger manages to get himself to full guard.

Conger wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Hoffman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoffman is one step ahead there.
Hoffman is pushing down on Conger's leg trying to pass to half guard. Conger is fighting to maintain full guard but Hoffman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Conger looks for the body kick but Hoffman saw that one coming.
Hoffman moves in looking to clinch but Conger pushes him off.

Hoffman keeps control of Conger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Conger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hoffman needs to keep his hands up - Conger had a free shot at his head there.

Hoffman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Conger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Conger is looking to regain half guard here but Hoffman keeps moving and retains side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hoffman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Conger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Conger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hoffman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hoffman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Albert Hoffman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Conger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoffman . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Albert Hoffman will probably get the nod.

Conger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hoffman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conger has managed to get both his arms back between Hoffman 's legs - danger averted.

Hoffman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Conger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hoffman somewhat.

Albert Hoffman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hoffman , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Albert Hoffman really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that VICIOUS FIGHT GEAR logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
