The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Petrek looking to score a takedown here. Mullins is defending well but Petrek drives through and ends up in Mullins's guard.

Mullins working for a triangle but Petrek defends it easily.

Mullins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Petrek defends well.

Mullins scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mullins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petrek.
Mullins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Petrek has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Petrek unloads with some shots from mount but Mullins bucks and avoids them well.
Mullins is desperately trying to improve his position but Petrek has a good base and remains in mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Petrek there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mullins is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Mullins wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Petrek.

Oh Mullins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Petrek shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Petrek slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Petrek lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
