Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anselmo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Koltsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirill Koltsov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anselmo Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirill Koltsov!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koltsov stalks Harris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harris's face. Harris staggers backwards, shaken.
Koltsov works over Harris's head and body with a nice combination.

Harris rushes Koltsov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Koltsov as Harris tries to tie him up.

Koltsov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Harriss head.

Koltsov has a couple of punches blocked by Harris.

Koltsov tries to work over Harris's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Koltsov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The referee calls for Koltsov to work.
Harris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koltsov walks away with a smile on his face. Harris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Harris takes one on the button.
Koltsov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harris definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Harris clinches up against the cage.
Harris jumps guard but Koltsov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anselmo Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Harris.
Harris tries for a takedown. No joy.

Harris gets control of Koltsov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harris will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Koltsov wants to pass the guard but Harris is keeping the position.
Harris looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Koltsov wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Koltsov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Koltsov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Koltsov prevents Harris from getting back to his feet.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Koltsov postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Koltsov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Koltsov wants to counter the offense by Harris and move into the clinch position.
Harris fails to land the takedown.

Koltsov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Harris backs up against the cage.

Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.
Koltsov stalls.
Harris misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Koltsov.
A short left from Koltsov.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Koltsov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Harris is trying to pull guard but Koltsov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Koltsov has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Harris is trying to keep an underhook but Koltsov manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Harris is looking to improve his position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koltsov winds up and cracks Harris with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Koltsov not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Harris is trying to control but can't.
Harris regains full guard. Nicely done.
Koltsov prevents Harris from getting back to his feet.
Koltsov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Koltsov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Harris's head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirill Koltsov dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Koltsov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harris's guard.
Harris wants to sweep but no luck.

Koltsov throws a sloppy strike and Harris has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Koltsov is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Harris!
