The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WhiteMountain throws a hook but Blues blocks it.
Wahanassatta WhiteMountain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blues tries to clinch there but WhiteMountain circles away.
Blues keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blues looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? WhiteMountain is fending him off so far but Blues persists. Nope, WhiteMountain circles away and we're back to standing.
Blues shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
WhiteMountain doesn't manage to clinch there - Blues circles away.

WhiteMountain tries to break free but Blues pushes him back against the cage.
WhiteMountain is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Blues tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wahanassatta WhiteMountain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Blues.

Blues decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blues has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but WhiteMountain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
WhiteMountain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

WhiteMountain passes Blues's left leg - he's now in half guard.
WhiteMountain tries to pass to full mount but Blues defends it.
WhiteMountain thows a huge punch but Blues dodges it nicely.
WhiteMountain tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
WhiteMountain stalling away here and it's allowed Blues to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blues is looking for a triangle but WhiteMountain pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
WhiteMountain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blues is keeping the position for now.
WhiteMountain would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
WhiteMountain trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Blues dives in for a single leg takedown but WhiteMountain sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
WhiteMountain is trying to stall.

Blues pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for WhiteMountain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
WhiteMountain lands a head shot.
WhiteMountain wants to clinch

and Blues moves into the clinch.
WhiteMountain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Blues wants to stall.
Blues avoiding damage.
WhiteMountain blocking some punches.
Blues tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Still in the clinch, WhiteMountain scores with a nice short uppercut.

Blues pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
WhiteMountain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

WhiteMountain forces Blues back against the cage and clinches.
Blues keeps control of WhiteMountain as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Blues wants a takedown.

WhiteMountain breaks from the clinch.
WhiteMountain jabs Blues right on the nose. Blues blinks but takes it well.
WhiteMountain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blues swats him away and circles back towards the center.
WhiteMountain rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Blues holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Blues breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Blues jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as WhiteMountain walks away with a smile on his face. Blues gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blues is defended easily by WhiteMountain.
WhiteMountain misses with a jab to the body
and Blues counters with a lovely shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wahanassatta WhiteMountain dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

WhiteMountain tries to clinch up but Blues circles away and keeps his distance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Oooooh!!! WhiteMountain has knocked Blues down with a huge combo! WhiteMountain steps away and waves a wobbly Blues back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Blues is rocked!
WhiteMountain wants to clinch.
Blues is still on wobbly legs! Can WhiteMountain finish him?
WhiteMountain throws a lazy right hand but Blues sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
WhiteMountain lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Blues is looking to close the distance but WhiteMountain sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Blues crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Blues is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

In his post fight interview, Wahanassatta WhiteMountain started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
