Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mik De Asis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt Jordan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wyatt Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mik De Asis!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Asis tries a head kick but it misses.
Jordan checks a low kick from De Asis.
De Asis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
De Asis swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jordan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Good leg kick by De Asis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
De Asis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

De Asis moves into the clinch.
Jordan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De Asis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Asis tries to circle away but Jordan has him pinned against the cage.

Jordan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
De Asis tries to bum rush Jordan with a series of wild strikes but Jordan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Jordan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jordan.

De Asis gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Jordan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Asis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Asis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jordan is pulling down on De Asis's head. It's preventing any offense from De Asis, at least for the moment.

De Asis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jordan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. De Asis manages to get himself to full guard.

De Asis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Asis wants to get back to his feet but Jordan passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mik De Asis dominated that round.

De Asis throws a series of punches but Jordan moves out of range.
De Asis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
De Asis attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wyatt Jordan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

De Asis throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jordan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De Asis was well out of range. Poor timing from Jordan.
De Asis connects with a single shot there.
Jordan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

De Asis gets a clinch.

Jordan has clasped his hands together around De Asis's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Jordan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but De Asis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jordan is trying to get an arm triangle but De Asis is defending well.
De Asis is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Jordan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
De Asis wants to get back to his feet but Jordan is dominant here and he's now got De Asis's back!

Jordan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. De Asis is defending well though. Jordan let's go of the attempt for now.

Jordan is persistently looking for the submission but De Asis is defending it well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.




Jordan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.





De Asis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
