Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Serra has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dave Meyer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dave Meyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Serra!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Serra.
A jab from Meyer misses.
Meyer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Serra displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Meyer throws out the jab.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Meyer in particular looking to stall.

Meyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
