Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Birdman Lugz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawler is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tom Petty- I Wont Back Down. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 47 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Birdman Lugz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Lawler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lugz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lugz tries to close the distance and clinch but Lawler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lugz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lugz moves to clinch but Lawler breaks away
and Lawler counters with a big head kick but Lugz shrugs it off.
Lugz slips a straight right by Lawler.
Lugz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lawler gets a clinch.
Lugz keeps control of Lawler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lugz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lawler after a bit of a struggle.
Lawler wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lugz has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lawler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lugz looks for a takedown but Lawler sprawls well.

Lawler takes a swing at Lugz's ribcage but misses.

Lugz tries to clinch up but Lawler circles away and keeps his distance.
Lugz slips under a jab from Lawler.
Lugz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawler swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lugz lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Lawler tries to land knees in the clinch but Lugz avoids the damage to the body.
Lawler throws an elbow but it misses.
Lawler tries to break the clinch but Lugz is controlling the position.
Lawler tries to work over Lugz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lawler tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lugz has Lawler pressed against the cage, preventing Lawler from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lawler can't break the clinch.
Lugz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lawler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lugz tries to pull guard but Lawler won't allow it.
Lugz wants a takedown but no success here.
Lugz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Lawler counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lawler throws a hook but Lugz blocks it.

Lawler looks to land a combination but Lugz avoids it well.
Lawler throws a good cross that connects.
Lugz avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lugz closes the distance but Lawler moves to the side

and Lawler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lawler.
Lawler tries to work over Lugz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lugz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lawler gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lugz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lawler's efforts to push away.
Lawler is pressed up against the cage. Lugz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lawler down to the mat. Lawler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lawler.
Nice takedown defense from Lawler. No joy for Lugz on that attempt.
Lugz moves to clinch but Lawler breaks away
and Lawler counters with a lovely shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Lawler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Lugz gets tackled into the cage by Lawler. Lawler maintains the clinch.

Lawler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lugz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lawler on the side of the head.
Lugz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lawlers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


It looks like Ricky Lawler has been cut.
Lawler motions for Lugz to come forward. Lawler throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lawler walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lugz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lawler misses with a wild combination.
Lawler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lawler throws a good cross that connects.
Lawler misses with a double jab.
Lugz shoots for a double leg takedown but Lawler sprawls well. He's pushed Lugz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lugz throws a hook but Lawler blocks it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lugz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ricky Lawler seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lawler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lugz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Lugz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lawler tries to avoid it but Lugz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lawler to the ground. Lawler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lawler tries a low kick but Lugz avoids it.
Lawler circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lawler counters with a series of strikes. Lugz will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lawler throws a leg kick but Lugz moved away.
Lugz tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lawler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lugz closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lawler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Lugz is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lawler! Lugz is out on his feet! Lawler rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Lugz is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Lugz is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Lawler!
During a confident post fight interview, Ricky Lawler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
