PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogue Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogue Four!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Four throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.
Good exchange - Miller coming out on top.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Four has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Miller's jab looks to have found its range, popping Four under the eye.
Four showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
Four is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Miller throws a half hearted mid kick.
Miller shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Four eats them both and turns towards Miller to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Miller scores with a takedown into Four's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Four has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Miller controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Four utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Four is keeping the position.

Four is looking for a triangle here but Miller uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Miller lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Four gets back to half guard.
Four wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller is looking to advance position but Four won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Four is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Miller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Four tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.

Four looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Miller has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Miller with the ground and pound from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Miller! Four is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). David Miller!
A pretty intense looking David Miller took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
