PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aribert Heim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loaf comes to the cage accompanied by Eat My Loaf. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loaf throws a push kick but Heim slaps the foot to one side.
Heim throws out a counter right but Loaf avoids it with no problem.
Loaf on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A jab from Heim does it's job there.
Loaf uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heim.
Loaf fires out a quick counter leg kick but Heim just manages to avoid it.
Loaf takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Heim has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Heim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Heim keeps trying to improve his position.
Loaf throws an elbow but Heim slips to the side and avoids it well.
Loaf connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Heim some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Heim clobbers Loaf with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Heim might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
