Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Casados looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Casados trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Casados drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Russel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Casados has Russel in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Russel chips away with some ground and pound.
Russel postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Casados seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Russel passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Casados is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Russel has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Russel cracks Casados with a big right hand but Casados just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Casados is looking to reverse the position.

Oh Casados is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Russel working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Russel lands a strong strike to the head of Casados. That's dazed him! Russel looking to finish here. Casados is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Russel lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
