Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shikou Endou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nari Vari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Endou kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Killing in the name of - Rage Against The Machine. Nari Vari is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vari circles away from the clinch attempt.
Endou misses with a body punch
and Vari counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Vari closes the distance and clinches.
Endou definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vari swats away the attempt to clinch by Endou.
Endou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vari tries to avoid it but Endou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vari to the ground. Vari escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vari moves into the clinch successfully.

Vari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vari gets caught flat footed, as Endou shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Vari pushes Endou off and gets back to his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vari has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Endou throws a lazy right hand but Vari sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Endou throws a body shot but no joy.
Endou doesn't manage to clinch there - Vari circles away.
Endou tries to clinch up.
Vari is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Shikou Endou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Vari - that will leave a mark!
Vari uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Endou.

Endou closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Endou lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vari is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Endou is controlling him.

Vari pushes Endou off and scrambles back to his feet.
Endou fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Vari fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Endou manages to avoid it.
No luck for Endou with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shikou Endou. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vari breaks from the clinch.
Endou has a takedown stuffed.
A right handed body shot lands from Vari.
Vari lands a body punch.
Endou is breathing heavily.
Vari lands with a short punch from the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vari prevents Endou from breaking the clinch.
Vari lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Vari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Endou with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vari to score with a decent uppercut.
Vari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Endou's head backwards.
Vari scores with a spinning back kick!
Vari cracks Endou with a good jab.
